Are you losing your Hair? The signs to watch for.

An interesting article I read today about how to tell if you’re losing your hair. I read in a lot of hair loss forums and blogs that people are scared their losing their hair but when those who have gone through it before ask if they know the signs the answer is usually no.

This article laid them out nice and easy to understand. I’m going to recap them quickly:

Sign #1 – You usually will notice your scalp having a reaction to DHT because your hair become lighter and usually brittle. There can be some spots that are more oily then others. This is the first point you could consider getting a DHT blocking shampoo to reduce the reaction of DHT on your scalp.

Sign #2 -  Thinning and lip hair is usually what comes next according to the author over at MedicalConditionsExplained.com.

Sign #3 – Receding hair line, I think we all are familiar with this although it doesn’t always mean you’re losing your hair. I myself have a receding hair line but I’ve had it since I was probably 20 and it isn’t really progressing much worse then it has been. The article suggests comparing it to an older picture.

Sign #4 – You’ll likely begin to notice more hair in your brush at this point as well as some hair on your towel you used to dry off your hair after you shower.

This is the point where you have the chance to really do something about the problem. Avoiding the signs can mean that a hair loss treatment regiment may not be able to do anything for you. Catching it early is key.
