Longevity of a Hair Transplant
November 26th, 2009 · Uncategorized
You might not be at the stage yet where you feel you need a hair transplant. I’ve always suggested (not as a professional just my thoughts) that you try a hair loss treatment regimen first of possibly a DHT blocker shampoo, DHT inhibitor and growth stimulant before you decide a transplant is needed. Of course not all products work for everyone and it can come to the point where a transplant will be needed.
How long is that hair transplant going to last? I was surprised to find out that it’s possible for a transplant to last more or less forever. Of course the quality of the hair that will grow back isn’t going to bring you back to those full headed hair days of your youth but it will improve an area that is more or less completely bald.
Since the process takes hairs from the back of the head where they’re less affected by DHT they can grow better on the upper part of the scalp. The results of course can be fantastic and bring you back to an entirely new you.

According to the experts at the BaldingBlog.com you can fix hair transplant mistakes, how ever if you’re careful when selecting a company to do your transplant you may be able to just avoid them entirely. There’s a great post over at their blog here that shows some before and after photos of how they fixed a clients mistakes made in a previous hair transplant at another clinic.
Since their are incisions etc. when the transplant is performed it’s important that your doctor understands how to do the procedure with the least amount of risk to you.
In their example the client had more then one procedure and there was more then one scar left from those transplants. It’s pretty amazing what they were able to accomplish. This cosmetic surgical procedure cleaned up the patients scalp nicely.
Something the post discusses at the end made a lot of sense. Their clinic holds an open house once a month where perspective clients can meet patients who have had the procedure done to them successfully by doctors of their clinic.
If more companies offered a service like this I can see how confidence could be easily built by you the potential client with that particular business. Hearing a doctor or sales person tell you everything is going to be alright is fine, but hearing it from the horses mouth of someone who has had the procedure done is much better.
If you’re not quite at the stage where you need a hair transplant I suggest you visit some of the pages on our site about hair loss treatments an regimens.
