How ScalpMed Works

Unlike some hair loss products which block DHT, Scalpmed does not. A positive to Scalp Med not blocking DHT is that there is no chance of any sexual side effects while using their product. How ever seeing that every other major hair loss product (provillus, nisim, procerin) all block DHT it seems odd to use a different treatment method.

So how does it stop hair loss if it doesn’t use DHT?

Their key ingredient is minoxidil (listed as Vitadil® 5a in their ingredients). The product works to reverse the damage done by androgens, and tighten up the capillaries around hair follicles. This ensures that any new hairs aren’t lost.

The second stage of the treatment stimulates new hair growth by providing the nutrients needed for new hairs. The results are new hair growing with stronger hair follicles that won’t let them fall out.

Using Scalp Med

Scalpmed must be applied twice a day, once in the morning and once at night before bed. The product should be left on through the night and then washed off in the morning.

Several users stated that you needed to watch how much of the solution you were using. You should use just enough that you can massage it completely over the scalp but there should not be exccess left on your hands or so much that it runs down the side of your head.

The product is non toxic, and can simply be washed off, but using to much is a waste, and can make your hair feel greasy. Running a comb through you hair will reduce the running of Scalpmed solution after it’s applied especially before bed.

Expected Results

Results are seen but most users within 60 days of using Scalpmed which is good news since their money back trial ends at the 60 day mark.

The best results were seen in those who had thinning hair, then those who had recently balded areas on their head. A completely bald area where hair follicles have been dormant for some time rarely will see any result with Scalpmed or any other hair loss treatment.

They suggest that you continue using Scalpmend to continue results. Since Scalpmend is a treatment and not a cure for hair loss you will slowly begin to lose hair again if you discontinue use.

Scalpmed Side Effects

I didn’t read a lot of about users experiencing side effects but there are some possibilities. You could experience lower then normal blood pressure and mild chest pain. Also acne is possible while using Scalpmed as well.

Verdict on Scalpmed

The results I read about from Scalp Med seemed to suggest that people either saw reasonably quick results or nothing at all. The ingredients used are proven hair loss treatments, so their formula does work. The fact that they offer 60 days to try it before you buy is a good gesture that people are seeing results.

Personally I’d maybe try Nisim or Procerin before Scalpmend as they have had more indepth testing and studies done on their products. Also they offer a longer guarantee to see results.
